On November 11, 2011 in the Messe Frankfurt exhibition complex opened was Viva Touristika international tourist exhibition. The fair is traditionally held in November and is specialized in mountain, eco and spa tourism. It is targeted primarily to end-users of tourist products. The forum programme included seminars, presentations and screenings of original themed films for exhibitors and visitors. Sofia Municipality, represented by Tourist Service Municipal Enterprise, participated in the exhibition for the first time, together with the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism. With a variety of themed promotional and informational materials Tourist Service Municipal Enterprise presented Sofia as a modern European capital with a rich cultural heritage and as an attractive destination for fans of alternative and mountain tourism.
