Mountains of Bulgaria – Four-Season Hospitality International Tourism Exhibition

On 13 October 2011, for the eighth consecutive time Smolyan hosted the Mountains of Bulgaria – Four-Season Hospitality International Tourism Exhibition opened by Mr Ivo Marinov, Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism, and Dipl. Eng. Stefan Staykov, Regional Governor of Smolyan. Over 70 participants were present at the exhibition. Among them were the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism, four national tourism associations: of hotel and restaurant owners, of tour operators, of alternative tourism and of authentic Bulgaria. Traditionally, Sofia Municipality was represented by Tourist Service Municipal Enterprise at its own stand. Representatives of tourist municipalities, developing mountain tourism – Smolyan, Chepelare, Samokov, Veliko Turnovo and Bansko attended the exhibition, as well. On a total of 18 stands the participants presented their tourism products and services in different parts of the mountainous regions of Bulgaria. For the first time present were four major Bulgarian winter ski resorts, Pamporovo, Chepelare, Bansko and Borovets, announcing their winter calendars of events. A panel discussion on New Legislation and European Tools supporting Bulgarian Tourism was held during the exhibition.
