2011 Spa and Expo Vacation

From 17 to 19 February 2011 the National Palace of Culture in Sofia was the meeting ground of the 28 th Vacation and Spa Expo International Tourism Fair. The exhibition was organized by PRIM EXPO, under the auspices of the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism, in partnership with the Sofia Municipality, BHRA, BATA, BTC, Sofia Tourist Region, and the Tourism Council, Sofia. The event was officially opened by the Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism, Mr. Traycho Traykov.

This year's Vacation and Spa Expo was attended by 290 exhibitors, of which 50 foreign representatives from 17 countries. Sofia Municipality was represented by Tourist Service Municipal Enterprise on a separate stand, located near the stand of the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism. During the three days of the exhibition the stand of Sofia was visited by nearly 2500 people – both professionals and general public. Tourist Service Municipal Enterprise provided and distribute free promotional materials of SOFIA destination – printed brochures and multimedia CDs. Great interest among visitors evoked the map of the monasteries around Sofia, the so-called Sofia Mount Athos.
