Hotel of 2009, registering the highest number of bednights – Dedeman Princess Sofia Hotel

On 27 October 2009, the Bulgarian Hotel and Restaurant Association awarded for the thirteenth time the 2009 Annual Awards for Professional Achievements in the field of hotel- and restaurant-keeping and management .The ceremony took place at the Dedeman Princess Sofia Hotel.

Mrs. Yordanka Fandakova, Mayor of Sofia, Mr Traycho Traykov, Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism, deputy ministers from the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Agriculture and Food, chairmen of the largest tourist organizations in the industry, partners of the Bulgarian Association of Hotel and Restaurant Keepers, as well as leading executives and owners in the tourism industry across the country were among the guests at the ceremony.

For the first time the award ceremony involved Sofia City Municipality through Tourist Service Municipal Enterprise with presentation and symbolic rating of Sofia hotels, which have registered the highest number of bednights during the year. The Dedeman Princess Sofia Hotel was nominated for the first position in the rating, with 77,787 registered bednights.

The special prize of the Tourist Service Municipal Enterprise, 2009 Hotel with the highest number of benights, was awarded by Mr. Stoyan Lazarov, Director of TSME in the presence of Mrs. Yordanka Fandakova, mayor of Sofia, Mr Mehmet Varaoul, General Director of Dedeman Princess Sofia Hotel, and other guests.
